There are two bolts at the bottom of the back seat by the floor.......then you remove seat and take out the two bolts for the upper back seat and then you remove the back dash to get to the speakers! hope this helps
I have also tried - and failed - to replace the rear speakers. The dealership does not recommend changing them since the entire back seat needs to be removed and there is never a guarantee it will go back correctly. You might want to check with your local dealership to see if they would be willing to give it a try - for a large expense I imagine.
I took everything out... Rear seat, seat back, then the parcel shelf, removed and replaced the 6X9's in it and used the new speakers template to cut out the new holes, then replaced everything. It took me about 3 hours steady from start to finish. That doesn't include the time I took to scoop up the $7.00 in change I found under the rear seat, then I used a shop-vac for rest of the garbage... Good luck!
The 1997 Chrysler Concorde door speakers size is three inches by five inches. The rear speakers measure four inches by six inches.
