There are several sending units in that car, we need to know which one you want to replace.
The oil sending unit on a 92 ranger 2.3 engine is on the drivers side of the motor. It is on the back of the head.
The Fuel pump sending unit has gone bad. Replace fuel pump assembly, not just the pump.
what would cause a oil pressure gauge to fluctuate on my 99 Chevy truck silverado i change the sending unit it does it mostly after it warmed up
Yes
Yes
you can, but you will blow the seals in the steering ,and then have a bigger problem that you have now
The oil pressure sending unit is located on the engine block, under the power steering pump. It is only accessible after the steering pump has been removed.
u need to replace the fuel sending unit which is what you attach the pump and strainer to, unfortunately it cost around $220. I looks like one of the pumps in a toliet. You need to check and be sure that you have a good ground connection for the tank unit.
There are two separate fuse panels in a 92 eldorado. One is in the trunk on the left side and the other is under the hood near the windshield wiper fluids.
Check the sending unit between the left first 2 spark plugs. Ground the wire with key on (gauge should peg full hot). If it does change the sending unit.
No,it doesn't you have to transfer the old sendingunit to the new tank
Simple check is to ground the fuel sending wire at the fuel tank.If the gauge reads FULL then it is a bad fuel sending unit and you need to drop the fuel tank to replace it.If the gauge reads empty when you ground the wiring then it means you have a bad fuel gauge.I would lean strongly towards the sending unit be bad my 87 the gauge started reading about 1/4 tank less before it failed.
