Need to know which sending unit you speak of, there are several on that vehicle.
I don't know of any sending unit on the engine, that doesn't just unscrew. You take the electrical connector off and unscrew the unit by loosining it and turning counter-clockwise.. It will probably be tight so use the right tool. Get the new unit and put it back in and reconnect the electrical connector(plug)
That is fine unless it is the fuel gauge sending unit.
