Take the cover off in the trunk and turn the bulb socket to the left.

Behind the ash tray under the radio, in the fuse panel. It is the big round orange thing. It compares the current drawn by the left bulb to the right bulb and lights the bulb failure light if the currents are not equal. I have never seen a bad one. The usual reason the light is still lit after the bad bulb is changed is because the new bulb is not an exact match or the contacts are corroded. Try two new bulbs. If you have to replace it, there is one or two white release clips on the side of the fuse panel to let you slide it out.
If you mean the bulb failure light; The bulb failure detector compares the current drawn by the left bulb to the right bulb and lights the bulb failure light if the currents are not equal. I have never seen a bad one. The usual reason the light is still lit after the bad bulb is changed is because the new bulb is not an exact match or the contacts are corroded. Try two new bulbs. Good Luck
The brake light switch is up underneath near/connected to your brake pedal arm. Also, don't rule out that you simply have a bad bulb or corroded connection possibly causing the issue. If it is a bad bulb, see sources and related links below for bulb information.
My 94 940 does the same thing. One or more of the bulb contacts is dirty or not making strong enough contact in the socket.
check hose from the turbo to the air mass meter on the bottom of the hose mat have a hole in it repair or replace.

You don't. When it gets dirty, you replace it.
To fix windshield wipers on a Volvo 940 try using new wiper fluid and cleaning the windshield and wiper blades before you replace the blades. It is also important to replace wiper blades regularly.
Buy a 9004 bulb. Note that it has an "O" ring to seal it in. Don't touch the glass part. Your finger prints will attract dirt and create a hot spot. Look behind the headlight where the wires connect. That is the light socket. There is about a 1 1/2" locking ring that you turn to the right about 10 degrees. You actually turn to the left but you are looking at it backwards. Now just pull the bulb and socket out. It may be tight due to the O ring. Unplug the old bulb. Reverse the process to install.
