I just did mine in the garage last night.Took about 1 hr or so.With me i always unhook battery first(don't need to) The Drivers side is pretty easy except for the one closes to the firewall. You do need to take part of the air intake hoses off. That was a matter of unhooking 2 vacume lines and loosening 2 clamps. The big air box can be a sun of a gun to get out but it does. The truck does only have 3 plug wires. The other 3 plugs are connected by 3 coil packs that sit on top of them(passenger side) Once the air box is out of the way you will see 3 coil packs held down by 10 mm bolts. There is one electrical conn on each coil pack, unplug and push off to side. Remove 10 mm bolt and the coils come right off. Replace plugs and do reverse of taking it apart. This would also be a very good time to change plug wires if considering doing that.As this whole ordeal would have to be repeated if you decide to change them later. The plug wires (strange) Seem to lock maybe?? I found if you turn plug wire 45 degrees they come right off. When putting them back on same thing . Hope this helps all. I was very leary about doing it and found it in reality to be easier than changing plugs on my 1991 4runner. Ps on some of the plugs(drivers side) you do need about 12 or 14 inches of extensions for the rachet. Good Luck all
