Located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose

Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from the radiator

Disconnect Upper Radiator Hose

Two bolts to remove the metal housing

Note how thermostat is installed in housing, pull the thermostat out

Clean both surfaces

Replace thermostat as it was and gasket, usually these come with an o ring gasket on the thermostat (i also like to use a little black rtv on the edges of the housing to make sure it seals)

Replace housing

Important!

Refill coolant slowly to prevent an air lock, follow the coolant bleed procedure in your owners manual, there are two bleeder screws you need to open to let the air out

Start engine and look for leaks

Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on

Re-check coolant level
