on the top left of the engine their will be a hose coming from the radiator . it is attached to an adapter with two bolts. take off the adapter (but be careful there is hot rad fluid in it) the thermostat is right under neath it just pull it out and put it in install in reverse

In the motor.
remove the 2 bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the intake manifold which the upper radiator hose attaches to the housing then just pull the thermostat out and replace.
If there is any doubt about it, just replace it, they are cheap enough.
Need to replace the thermostat with a 195 degree. That ought to do it.
