The cooling system needs to be drained. Follow the large top hose from the rad to the engine. Under the hose connector is the thermostat. Undo the bolts and lift off the connector and replace the thermostat. Take it in to the parts store to ensure a proper replacement. Replace and fill the system with coolant and check for leaks.
