It is not possible to replace the trunk lock on a 1993 Caprice Classic while the trunk is closed. A person will have to remove the back seat, crawl into the trunk and open the lock manually before it can be replaced.
I talked to a mechanic about that just today. He said there are no adjustments, they just wear out over time. The only solution is to replace the latch. About $60 to $70 for the part, and it's easy to do if you're mechanically inclined. It might cost $150 or more to have a shop do it. Until then, there's a trick -- if you hold the trunk closed, insert the key and turn it opposite from the direction to lock it, the trunk will latch. That's the only thing you can do until you replace the part. Sorry.
Open trunk and remove screws that secure light assembly to car. Pull assembly straight back to remove from car. Remove the dead light and replace with proper new light. Install in reverse order of removal.
most of the time if you pop the trunk and look at the latch on the trunk itself you will see a defeat switch to disengage the trunk from opening without a key

On the 1985 Caprice the logo emblem in the center of the trunk swivels up and out of the way revealing the keyhole.

There is no trunk release on a 1991 Chevy Caprice.
The trunk lock on a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice is replaced by removing the retaining clip and unscrewing the bolts holding it in place. The lock can then be pulled through the opening and a new lock put in place.
Open trunk, put fan in it, close trunk, done... Or do you mean an electric fan for the cooling system? if so, Yes you can. make sure it has the same diameter as the original.

The car is fuel injected and the pump is in top part of the tank. The tank has to be removed, not difficult though. Just jack up the rear and make sure the front isn't going to roll away on you.
