On the 1985 Caprice the logo emblem in the center of the trunk swivels up and out of the way revealing the keyhole.
No
It is not possible to replace the trunk lock on a 1993 Caprice Classic while the trunk is closed. A person will have to remove the back seat, crawl into the trunk and open the lock manually before it can be replaced.
open the trunk lid and lift it out. Watch your head when reaching in. 87 had TBI.
Try using the trunk key first...
Open trunk, put fan in it, close trunk, done... Or do you mean an electric fan for the cooling system? if so, Yes you can. make sure it has the same diameter as the original.
There is no such thing as a Chrysler Caprice Classic. Chevy made a car called the Caprice (I had a 1969).
Open up the trunk lid, find the Phillips screws above the tail lights and the whole tail light bucket will pull out as one piece. Light sockets are behind.
You could try using the key for starters...
open fuel door and turn key to on and try to see if you hear a humm
open the trunk, you should see clips or screws holdig your upholstery on remove these clips or screws and then you can remove the panels and you will see the main structure of the car and there will be access holes big enough to put your hand through and reach the bulbs, hope this will help you. on caprice 2 and 4 door sedans open trunk and look at area behind loghts you will see large black plastic cap nuts remove them and the entire rear pannel that holds the lights will then be able to be removed. turn the bulb sockets counter clockwise and they will come ou. replace the bulbs and reverse to put back together. on caprice wagon use a torx screwdriver and remove the 4 screws that hold the light fixture to the body then replace the bulbs and reverse to replace
AnswerLook under the kick panel driver's side. Should be to the above left of the brake pedal. For 1991 and up Caprice, open the driver's door and remove the cover from the side of the dashboard.
If the window is open you can bend a coat hanger (or other wire) to lift the lock knobs. Otherwise I would hide an extra key on the outside of the car.
