Your best option is to buy a service manual for your vehicle. It will cost $15-20 and you can probably buy one at the same place you're buying the pump itself.
Basically the instructions amount to "remove the old one, install the new one" but the service manual will also tell you the easiest way to get to it... when I replaced mine (on a different type of car), I would have never thought of taking off the tire and coming in through the wheel well if the service manual hadn't suggested it, meaning at least three of the bolts holding it on would have been nearly impossible to reach from either the top or the bottom of the car.

how do you get a water pump off on a 2005 trailblaxer 4.2
There are several steps to changing a water pump in a 2001 GMC Yukon Denali. You must first make sure the engine is cool, and drain the radiator of coolant. You will then need to remove the air duct and housing. You will also need to move or remove the radiator hose, radiator fan shroud, serpentine belt from the alternator, water pump pulley, and old pump gasket?æto access the water pump. You can then replace the water pump, and then replace the parts that you removed.
