the tps is in differant places on cars and trucks, but most are on side of throttle body at throttle plate.
It's part of the throttle body, entire unit must be replaced.
Your throttle valve switch (position sensor) is bad and need to be replaced.....this is located on the side of the throttle chamber. You can get this from Advance Auto for $60 and is easy to replace...

If it is similar to the 2002, and I believe they are, It is permanently attached to the throttle body. To replace the sensor, you have to replace the whole throttle body.
It is located on the backside of the engine. Go to youtube and type in how to replace camshaft sensor on 2005 Nissan altima and it will show where it is and how to replace it, that is how I did my one.
On the right side of the throttle body (where the intake piping meets the engine) you will have to disconnect the hose clamps that hold the plastic piping to the throttle body to get a clear view. I would also suggest removing the throttle body as a whole to replace the throttle position sensor its held on by 4 hex screws. The sensor plugs into the engine harness right ubove the intake piping; its a fat grey clip with 3 wires attached to it
Your TPS will be located on the throttle body.
