You start by taking out all the plug wire (do not disconnect from distributor) get you a 10mm socket and ratchet also remove all hoses that are clamp on the valve cover. Then when you got all the 10mm (little) bolts off, use a flat head screw driver and pry where the end of the timing cover is behind the PS pump. Once cover is off gently remove the old gasket (may tear or rip, you want it to come off in one peace) get a razor and gently scrap all remaining peaces of gunk build up. Then do the same for the spark plug grommet's. Also take the razor and scrap the rim of the head NOT THE V-COVER. Apply gasket sealer after your done cleaning. Then simply go backwards in sequence. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE 10MM BOLTS!!!!!!!
