Easy. Look under the driver side under the van. There will be a triangular piece that is the container. Drop that down. On the side will be the pump that fits into a slot on the container. Pull the hose, pull the wires. Replace and reinstall. Done.

Right in front, to the left. Under the A/C if you have one.
Top of the fuse box, it is located perpendicular to the other fuses. 20 amp.
Even though it's been 15 years or more since I replaced my 1987 Taurus wagon's washer pump, I can confidently tell you the pump is in the bottom of the washer solvent reservoir / tank.Luckily the tank on the early models was easy to get out.A new pump is likely to cost only about $15 or less at places like Autozone, Advance, or one of the local parts shops.Also see the write-up in the Related Question below...

This is not easy since the cruise cont wires go down through the steering column. I suggest you take it to the garage.
the book i have for my 87 says 17. but it seems to be shorter so i have a 19 and it covers the windshield
