How do you replace your kitchen faucet if your old one is 15 years old and the holes where the new faucet should go aren't wide enough and you bought an 8 but it doesn't fit?

If the kitchen sink is stainless steel you can punch a hole where you need it with a hole-saw. If it is porcelain on steel or cast iron, and you dont want to replace it, then you will have to return the faucet to where you purchased it and exchange it for one with the correct center to center dimension.
