You paid your mortgage on 27 th of the month will it reflect on your credit report?

A mortgage will first reflect as a late payment on your report
once it is 30 days late -- at the Lender's discretion. Call the
Lender to see that the mortgage was posted in time. Even if it was
only a day or so late, and you have a good history with them, they
may choose to not report this payment as late. If it was a day
late, and you don't ask, they will report it.

How do you explain late payments?

When you are late on your payment for a credit card, car loan,
mortgage, etc... these "creditors" can report this late payment to
the credit bureau that they have a relationship with (either Trans
Union, Experian, or Equifax).
These credit bureaus in turn stick it on your credit report
which negatively affects your credit score.
There are
30 day late payment items,
60 day late payment items,
and 90 day late payment items.
Many people remove these items by disputing them with the credit
bureau (the credit bureau then has 30 days to go back to the
creditor to verify the late payment). Sometimes it works and
sometimes it doesn't.

Can late payments come off your credit report?

Yes late payments can come off your credit report. They can be
removed by either the original creditor that put it on there or by
the credit bureaus. You can dispute late payments on your credit
report with the credit bureaus using the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The FCRA requires the credit bureaus to contact the creditors to
verify the late payment. If the late payment isn't verified it must
be removed.

When is your mortage late?

Technically you are late if you make your payment anytime after
the due date. The vast majority of mortgages are due on the 1st of
the month.
Most mortgage companies will not assess a late fee unless you
are 15 or more days late. At that point the normal late fee will be
5% of your regular mortgage payment.
The lender will not report the late payment to a credit bureau
until you are 30 days late.

What if you are thirty day late on a payment?

The creditor can charge you a late payment fee and report you
late to the credit bureaus. One 30 day late payment can lower your
credit score 90 points and cause you higher interest rates and cost
you more money in the future. You can try to contact your creditor
and ask to have the late payment removed if you have paid on time.
You can also dispute it to the credit bureaus and try to have it
removed that way.

If a credit card payment made just 4 days late can the payment legally be reported as 30 days late?

Yes. But if the account holder has been in good standing and tis
is the first late payment, it probably won't be reported.
4 days late can legally be reported as "past due" on your credit
report, but this is unlikely. The account cannot be reported as 30
days late unless it is ACTUALLY 30-59 days past due.
Each creditor is different. Some report from last pay date, some
report from last due date.

Is it true that a late payment has to be 30 days late before it goes on your credit report?

Only late payments that are (at least) 30-59 days may be
reported in the 30 day counter and only payments made that late
change your rating from an R1 or I1 to an R2-I2. However, should a
payment be even ONE DAY past due, that information can be reported
on your credit report without changing the RI-I1 status. There are
different fields of information on your credit report. So, it is
uncommon, but possible, for a past due payment to be reported that
is not actually 30 days late.

Can you remove a late payment from a credit report?

You can try, but if you have a history of late payments it
probably won't work. Contact the credit company that flagged the
late payment and ask for your options.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) allows any consumer to
dispute any listing they believe to be erroneous or inaccurate. So
yes you can remove a late payment, but probably not if it is legit.
The original creditor can remove the late payment, but usually you
need a good payment history with them or pay off the debt for this
to happen.

How do you get a negative collection account to report positive on a credit report?

In order to repair an account you need to have the part of the
account which is derogatory deleted. For example, If you have an
account with a late payment, that late payment would either have to
be removed or repaired for the account to become positive.
Here are some tools to get this accomplished:
1. Goodwill intervention
2. Late payment validation
3. Escalated info request
4. FTC Complaint followed by another late payment validation
You can either do this all yourself or you may hire a Credit
Repair Company to do this for you.

How do credit repair agencies get 30 day late entries removed from the consumer's credit report?

Valid entries cannot be expunged from the consumer's credit
report by a credit repair agency or by the consumer themselves,
they will remain on the report for the required time period.
Furthermore, such agencies cannot do anything that the consumer
could not do themselves. That being the case, the consumer should
not waste funds paying for a service that is often misleading,
unproductive and unfortunately in some situations totally
unethical.
Actually, the above answer is not correct. According to the Fair
Credit Reporting Act of 2003, if the consumer disputes the late
payment and the creditor reporting the late payment on the credit
report can not prove that the consumer made the payment late, the
negative mark must be removed or corrected on the report
immediately.
