call the animal control and tell them about her
My neighbor lost her dog two days ago, and she has no idea what to do. Is local animal control the place she should go to report about her lost dog?
Depends on you personally. I would by all means attempt to care for the dog until they return, but if you don't like dogs or your neighbor..there's always animal control(if your neighbor didn't like you before they 100% will not after this) ---- I'd assume you don't know where the dog is? you should probably try and get in touch with the owners and/or whoever is taking care of the dog while they are away. If not, do what you can to find the dog. call the local animal shelter (or pound) to see if the dog has shown up and just let them know who owns the dog and that they are currently away to stop them from re-homing or euthanizing it.
Well, you are correct that dog bite is usually covered under a homeowners policy -- but in this case it would be your neighbor's and not yours. Get your neighbor's policy number and submit a claim to the company along with any supporting documentation (like police report, hospital records, etc) and get the ball rolling. Hopefully your neighbor has not had his dog excluded on his policy or you will wind up (probably) taking him to court.
no, however they can report the dog and have it taken away to authorities.
what any dog would need. Food, water, bath's care ect. taking care of a Yorkie is like taking care of any other dog.
Call City Hall and see if they have leash laws and if so then call Animal Control and report the dog and owner .
it idicates that the dog is healthy and your taking care of it properly
First thought: You shouldn't need to do anythingwith your neighbor's dog's body. However, if your neighbor's dog died and they haven't dealt with the body, you can call Animal Control (or its equivalent where you live), report the death of the dog and request that they come remove the body. This might get your neighbor in some legal trouble, so you might ask the neighbor (politely but firmly) to dispose of the body first, then take the action above if they don't.
How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog was created in 2000.
Laws vary, but if you have sufficient evidence of his actions, report him to the police. You may also have grounds for a lawsuit.
