Try this: Turn the ignition to RUN (do not start), press the unlock button on the keyless remote, ignition OFF. Repeat 2x. Turn the ignition to RUN, press the unlock button on the keyless remote twice, the power locks should cycle to indicate successful programming. Turn the ignition OFF and test remote.
The Honda Accord remote key does have a battery.
The keyless entry module on a1998 Honda Accord is located underneath the dashboard. It is housed on the driver-side the of dash close to the main relay.
Replaced the battery in the remote.
you have to take it to the dealer
How do you open your 2006 honda accord trunk when the emergency lock will not work and the remote doesn't open it?
Yes.
No.
I had this same problem with my Honda. I figured out through a process of elimination that the door remotes lost part of their signal to turn the alarm off. The solution? Search Wiki for how to reprogram your remote key fob. This will restore the signal coding to properly unlock and turn off your alarm. Just reprogram the remotes and this should solve your problem.
