1. Turn Ignition OFF.
2. Press the central door locking button for more than 5 seconds. Note: the door should lock then unlock.
3. When this happens, 15 seconds is allowed and the immobilizer warning light illuminates.
4. Press the remote control once, the doors should lock and unlock.
5. Press the second remote control once, the doors should lock and unlock.
6. Check the remote control unlocks and locks the doors.

∙ 9y agoFor the Renault Megane, hold the remote control button down until the red light goes out on the key. This can take 10 seconds or longer. Then, press the button three more times. Check to make sure the doors lock and unlock the way they should so you know it's working correctly.Ê

∙ 12y agoAccording to two different Mercedes Dealers. Sears imported Autos and Feldman Mercedes it is not allowed. All keys must be ordered from a dealer and programmed by the factory according to your VIN number. Anyone selling them on eBay etc are fakes and both dealers said they have people coming in saying i got this cheap on eBay and essentially they have been had.

∙ 12y agoFrom memory so may not be quite right:
1. Turn ignition to position 1 and wait until red LED on clock is on. Switch off ignition.
2. Point fob at mirror and press unlock 3 times then press lock button.
3. If correct red LED will turn off.
4. Turn ignition to position 1 and off again.
If red LED does not turn on remove drivers side lower trim and disconnect plugs from black box and reconnect and try procedure again.

∙ 9y agoA key fob can only be reprogramed by a Mercedes dealership. To do so take the key set to a dealership and ask for them to reprogram the fob. They will do so for a set fee.
