If the rear wiper lights are flashing, you need to start engine, put fan on high, airflow to panel vents, full cold. Press and hold the top and bottom buttons on the left side until they all light up. It will then run a diagnostic test that will take a minute or two. If more than one light is flashing at the end, the test failed and you will need to take it in for repairs.
i unhooked the battery...(both terminals)
The light will reset itself when the cause of the code has been repaired.
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and wait a few minutes then reconnect the cable. But, if the problem that caused the light to come on hasn't been fixed the light will come back on.

from what i have been told that you disconnect the battery terminals and then reconnect them. that should reset the computer
disconnect battery for 10 minutes, then reconect battery this should reset computer if faults have been fixed
i normally disconnect the battery for a few seconds, or pull the battery fuse, or buy a code reader and reset it that way
Remove the battery for about 10 seconds. Then put it back in, and your DS/DSLite/DSi has been reset.
you dont
This question has been asked and answered many times in this forum. YOU can reset it by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes or so. Your local auto parts store can read and reset it for you. Well, at least my local Auto Zone does this, and at no charge. You can also purchase a code reader that can reset the code for around $100. --Ken
To reset the ECM remove the battery cable (s) for a few minutes. Replace cable. ECM has been reset.
This should not be done ,unless the dash has been replaced clocking a car is a dead bird :)
