disonect the battery and leave it over night, come out in the morning and with the battery still disconected, turn on wippers, stero, blinkers etc, any knob that can turn to drain out any static energy still in computer, (the instruments wont work ok) . then hook the battery back up, start the car and let it rev on 2500rpm for 3 mins, then drive around the block mixing up the speed,go fast, then slow, use all the gears, you will be re teaching the car and set the computer to factory/new. This should be done around every 6-8 mths. hope that helps:)
no just unhook the battery posts so that you dont fry the computer when you are installing it. Then reconect the battery posts when installed and try to start it without patting the gas padle it should fire right.
Simply unplug the battery and replace the cords to the battery!
WHOA! This is a trick question. The computer should not need resetting after replacing a battery. The first step in any procedure requires you to disconnect the battery. This is so the computer doesn't receive any false codes while repairing the vehicle. Thus replacing the battery should have cleared any stored codes during the swap. If your car is throwing a check engine light, there is a sensor problem and you'll need a diagnostic code reader to retrieve it.
DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR A FEW MINUTES.
Computer reset
The 1990 Mitsubishi does have a computer. You can reset the computer by removing the positive cable from the battery. Keep the cable off for 30 seconds and return it to its original position.
Yes.
They will run somewhat hot while charging; if you put your battery in discharged however, that makes the alternator work much harder. A alternators job is to maintain the charge in a battery not to charge a discharged battery.Keep a eye on it, it will probably be OK once the the battery is topped off.
When you recharge the battery and start the automobile the computer will set itself back to (ROM) read only memores. SOMETIMES you do need to drive a few miles for the computer can relearn itself.
Either Discharged battery or poor/loose battery or starter connections or solenoid contact need replacing
