It is located in the back right hand side of the storage area. It has a little plastic door you get into then you press the button down to reset it.
I have a 93 ford escort wagon with owner's manual. The manual states there is a reset button that may need to be pressed down if the sensor activated the fuel cut off. In my wagon, and it may be different for your style escort, the cut off reset button is located in a small panel (that has a cover) over the passenger side rear tire. You might see if you can locate that reset button in YOUR escort. I should tell you, also, that my fuel cut off reset button was NOT activated even though my dashboard light (fuel shut-off) was on. I couldn't drive the vehicle while the dash light was on so I had it towed to my mechanic who found out the problem had nothing to do with the fuel shut off -- it was a bad timing belt. Once the belt was replaced, the dashboard light went off and I was on the road again. Go figure.....
you push the button down.
It is a device that cuts out the supply of gas in case you're in a bad accident. IF you get a good enough bump, your car will not run. The cut out switch needs to be reset and it's in the back, ususlly under a plastic cut out.
The fuel cutoff is located in the back right of the wagon. You should see a little plastic square in the back right hatch area. You stick your finger in the hole, and rip the door off.. your switch will be right inside there. (May be of the left side, depending on year of escort wagon)
Yes if it is popped up your fuel pump will not wrk
In a 1997 Ford Escort sedan : The fuel pump shut off switch / inertia switch ( with the reset button on top ) Is located directly under the hole in the passenger side trunk trim * it is near the back seat
Try in one of the kick panels inside the car. Think you will find a hole to put your finger in to reset it.Hope this helps
The Fuel cut off switch on a 93' Ford escort is above the passenger side rear tire. Just look in your trunk. On the right side there will be a removable plastic panel. The switch is right in there. It's the black thing with a couple wires running to it.
It's all the way in the back if you open your hatch it right under the speaker in the rear right side...if this help you any .....
The answer is YES. When you hit the pot hole you tripped the fuel cut off switch which is located behind the inside panel near the right rear strut mount. Look for a small access door in the panel. All you have to do is push the button down to reset it.
there is no fuel reset as in a ford.
According to the 1996 Ford Escort Owner Guide : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the trunk , it is behind the trim on the passenger side , there is a plug to remove to gain access to the switch
