It should be a 5 digit code (you have to call an acura dealer with the serial number) just press the digits and it will unlock. Hint... if you've entered the wrong code you may have to remove power to reset it.
Usually your oil needs changing. You have to reset the light yourself. Look in manual it will show how to reset it.
It is the error you get when you have entered the wrong radio code three times. You need a code to unlock your radio if it has been disconnected from the battery i.e. if it was being stolen from your vehicle. Acura considers this an anti-theft device. To reset the transmission light just disconnect the battery for a couple minutes then reconnect the battery. Warning if you have a factory radio you will need the radio code to use the radio after you do this. You can find the code on the glove box. Open the glove box and look on the outside left hand side. The five digit code is on a white sticker. If your transmission light comes back on take your car to the mechanic because more then likely something is wrong.
Leave the radio turned on. After several times (usually 30 minutes), it should reset itself. Please note that 10 invalid attempts to enter the code will lock the radio completely.
Dont know who said the last comment but its completely wrong. Its the anti-theft protection on your radio you need the five digit security code from the dealer to unlock it.
The message of wait one hour occurred because a wrong passcode was entered into the system. To get rid of the message you will need to leave the radio on and uninterrupted for the one hour. The radio will then reset itself and will be fine again.
try disconnecting th battery and trying again The way to get back into your radio to set the correct code is:- press and hold the band button until the wrong number dissapears and "code" is displayed then enter the correct code to unlock the radio. what is the code???????????????????????
the radio goes into "off" mode anytime 3 wrong security codes are entered. The dealer has to reset it although I just read a string that said if you leave the door open for an hour with the key in the on position, the radio will reset and you can enter the seciryt code. If you don't have the ode, contact a Mitsubishi dealer
Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the car). Leave it that way for approx. one hour. Then the radio will go back to the CODE sequence. You will then need to enter the correct code to get the radio to work.
