Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the car). Leave it that way for approx. one hour. Then the radio will go back to the CODE sequence. You will then need to enter the correct code to get the radio to work.
I had to go to a dealership to get the radio unlocked, also the cause; ( radio locked) was Battery Failure. After I puchased a new battery I found the radio use to be locked.
Insert the correct code. Don't know the code, contact your dealer. You can go to www.fordlockcodes.com and they should be able to get you your code.
If your radio is locked and needs to be unlocked, it would require a security code versus a radio code.
Radio Code is 5241
The message of wait one hour occurred because a wrong passcode was entered into the system. To get rid of the message you will need to leave the radio on and uninterrupted for the one hour. The radio will then reset itself and will be fine again.
A Ford radio usually will become 'locked' after 10 invalid codes have been entered. In the beginning, the indication like "- - -" or "Wait" may appear on the radio's display. In this case leave the radio turned on for 2-3 hours. The locked state will reset and you will be able to enter the code again. However, if 10 attempts (or more) have been made, the radio will go into the 'LOCKED' mode. Waiting will not help in most cases. But there is a trick that you can use if your radio says 'LOCKED' or 'LOCKED 10'. If you see 'LOCKED 13' or 'LOCKED FOREVER', unfortunately, this will not help. To unlock the radio if it is says 'LOCKED 10': 1. The radio is turned off. 2. Press the '6' (6th radio preset) button and hold it. 3. Do not release the '6' button. Turn the radio on while holding the '6' button. P.S. This will not help with all radios. Some systems may not support this reset trick. WARNING: After this trick is done, you have 3 more attempts. If you use them up, you will not be able to unlock the radio yourself again. NOTE: Some radios say 'TEN' instead of 'LOCKED'. For these radios, turn the radio on and hold SELECT and MAN buttons together. You will have ONE additional attempts (when it is used up, the radio will say 'TEN+').

The "OFF" message indicates that you have made 3 invalid attempts to enter your radio's security code. Just leave the radio turned on in this condition for several hours. You should then see the "CODE" message. Now you can enter the code.
If your radio is locked and you DONT know the passcode then you need to call Acura....but if you do know the password...then you should enter it
Anti-theft radio's can be unlocked when a unique code in entered into them. There is a limited number of attempts allowed. If you enter your code incorrectly to many times you will have to wait a set amount of time to try again. Methods of entering security codes vary by manufacturersThe correct procedure will be shown in you vehicle radio manualIn order to unlock a radio with a code once it is locked is going to greatly depend on what type of radio/stereo that is trying to be unlocked. Try entering the code with the station presets.

You insert the code with the radio presets. Just push the reset # that corresponds to the radio preset. If you have locked the radio up just leave it on for a few hours and it will reset so you can enter the code again.
