yes use the same button as you use to change the hour in spring and autumn. keep pressing until the last option is mile/km If you've got the trip computer it changes the fuel use as well from mpg to l/100km
On the wiper stalk, scroll through menu till 'miles covered, shows, then press & hold button till zero sets, continue the scroll cycle, then after several miles covered, repeat menu scroll, mpg should be visible!
it is your average speed since the button on the end of the right hand stalk was pressed. a quick press will cycle to the next part of info ie current mpg, average mpg, average speed, distance travelled, miles till empty. pressing and holding the button will reset the averages and distance traveled to zero.

Simultaneously press the "E/M" and "MODE" buttons and hold for three seconds. This will reset the MPG average gauge.

There is a button on the underside of the windscreen wiper stalk pointing towards the floor. It is towards the steering column about 1-2 inches 3-5 cm in length. Press and hold the button to reset. If the fascia driving display panel has a 1 it will reset mpg, distance, average mph for that trip only. If it has 2 it will clear the same aggregated data from the last reset.
