The truck has a standard that automatically cuts on the oil light either when the oil is low or you have driving a certain distant and not had an oil change. Also if you have had an oil change recently and didn't reset the oil indicator than it doesn't recognize that you did get an oil change. To reset oil indicator all you do is turn the key to the run position (two click, do not start truck) then pump the gas pedal all the way to the floor three times the oil light should flash then go off.
