b) Now press the answer/end button for 7 seconds or longer, ONLY release the button when the blue tooth status Icon begins to flash and you hear the voice announcement: "pairing mode".
It is possible to reset and test the headset by 'press and hold' answer/end + volume down at the same time. All the indicators in the display will start flashing. In this mode, the pairing list is reset the headset will automatically turn off after approx. 10 seconds. The next time you power on, the headset will go into pairing mode as the first time you powered your new BT 4010 on.

Other wisdom claims that plugging the headset into the charger for 3 or 4 seconds, then disconnecting and doing this 3 times over, resets the headset. My BT620s would not turn off, would not go into pairing mode, would not really do anything except emit one beep when any button was pushed or held. The above procedure did not help. Finally I disassembled the right-side ear muff by removing the fabric cover, then the three little torx-like screws and disconnected the battery connector for 5 minutes. After hooking it back and reassembling, the headset worked normally.

Start with the Jawbone device off. Press and hold the Jawbone's hidden "Noise Shield" button (the black end that connects to the charger, right under the word Jawbone) for 3 seconds until the LED status indicator alternately flashes white then red. The pairing mode will last for 2 minutes, or until pairing is complete. The code is "0000"...that's four zeros.
