I had the same issues with trying to reset the service codes for my M/B ML350. After looking everywhere and getting no help from the Mercedes dealerships, it turns out, the directions for resetting my service codes were right in my owners manual! I tried it and it worked the first time........I just can't figure out why Mercedes wouldn't tell their owners such a simple solution to a very irritating problem!
If your dashboard is lighting up with a "service D" light on your Mercedes ML350, it means it is time to take your car in for a service inspection. This is just a general warning that your car may need a checkup.

When your service air bag light comes on and you have never been in a wreck, this is usually a good indicator of a wire issue. The number one reason for a service air bag light, without a wreck, is that the wire needs to be repaired.
On my old Patrol ('90), standing, facing the vehicle, open the hood and to the left, just behind the light, there is a little aluminum plate, should be on there.
