You simply dissconnect the battery for about 15-20 minutes. Now if you want to have it read, just take it to a place like auto zone, or advanced auto, and they can tell you what that light is for, and then they can even clear it for you all for free. Just ask them if they can check and reset your check engine light. Theyre reset takes about 10 seconds, so its alot quicker!

I had the same problem with my Tiburon and found out that the check engine light will come on if the gas cap isn't tightened at least 3 clicks. Or if your rubber seal on the gas cap itself is worn.
