I have a 2001, but I assume your 2003 will require the same method:
1) Turn your car off.
2) Push and hold the trip reset button on the instrument panel.
3) While still holding the button, turn the key to the ON ('RUN') position.
4) Continue to hold the button (for about 5-10 seconds) until the light turns off.
5) Turn the key back to 'OFF' and remove key.
The next time you start your car, the light should be off. Yes, this is in your owner's manual, but in case you don't have one, it's now here, too.
