I tried and tried to get that light to go off, i was told the airbags would still function properly with the light on or not. so if it really bugs you just take out the 10 screws that hold the guage cluster in the dashboard and remove the light bulb. that's what i did.

Or you can try and reset it by disconnecting the battery for min of 5 mins, but make sure you have the code to reprograme the radio
Try disconnecting the seat belt light connector under your drivers seat, then turn engine on, air bag should complete self test. Then turn engine off and reconnect seat belt light and all should be working fine.
