The Brake Wear Indicator Light means your brakes are malfunctioning, worn out, or low on fluid and you need to get them fixed. If the indicator is caused be worn pads, then the wear sensor has worn through and must be replaced - it's not repairable.
After the problem has been corrected, reset the indicator by turning the ignition key to position #2 (just before engine start position) but do not start the engine and wait for less than 60 seconds. The on-board computer will automatically check the sensor condition and reset the indicator if no fault exists. (Note that starting the car and even driving it may not allow the indicator to reset.)
