Dsconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Flick lights on to discharge and residual current, and let the vehicle rest for some time. Upon reconnecting the negative terminal carefully, drive the car in the normal way. If the c/e light reappears, you have a fault and need to ascertain in which system the c/e light is displaying an error.
