For the 2006 model - turn the key to the on position (engine not running). Wait until the displays settle into the "ready" mode (several lights will turn off and seatbelt indicator will stop flashing/beeping). Depress the gas pedal THREE times, about one second apart (within ten seconds). The oil life indicator will switch from steady on to flashing. Then turn the key to the off position. Turn the ignition on once again and the indicator light will not come on--that will show you did it correctly. That's all you need to do.

AnswerFor the 2002-2005 Saturn Vue V4 or V6 - Under the hood you will see a black fuse box behind the battery. Open it up and you will see a red button, it is small and looks like a fuse but on the top it will say Oil-Res. Press and hold it for about 10 seconds. You may want to have a friend sit in the driver's seat and watch for the indicator to start flashing, which indicates you've activated the reset. Turn off the ignition and that will reset the Oil light.Revised 12/28/2008 by Geedavey
