Turn ignition to run engine off. Display OIL LIFE RESET in the Driver Information Center (DIC). Press and hold the ENTER button for at least one second. An ACKNOWLEDGED' display message will appear for three second or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the key to OFF. If the "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
2008 Chevy cobalt tpms reset
There is no fuel reset switch on any model cobalt if i remember u can do that by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes.. that will reset the computer
Chevrolet does not use inertia/reset switches.
Turn key on without turning on the engine then press the gas pedal 4 times. The computer should then reset.
Scan tool
turn the key on the on position and step on the gas pedal three times in a row.....
look in your owners manual but usually you turn the ignition key to the on position ( don't start ) and depress the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds to reset it.
Fix the cause of the light coming on and the light will reset itself within a few drive cycles.
1. Turn the ignition to RUN, with the engine off. 2. Go to oil life on dash info. 3. press gas pedal 3 times, light will reset to 100% This worked on 2006 cobalt SS. If this does not work try step 3 with key on off position.
Turn on the key but don't start the car. Push the gas pedal to the floor and release 3 times. It will now reset.
