The iPod Touch does not have a 'hold button'. To restart the iPod Touch from a frozen screen position, hold down the power button, and then slide the off switch to the right, and it will shut off (and will take longer than usual). Then, just turn it back on by holding the power button until the Apple logo appears.

∙ 10y agoUse the small power button on the top right of the iPod. Hold until the screen shows a bar that says 'slide to power off' and slide the arrow. pushing the same button will turn it back on again.
