How do you restore your dell to factory settings when F10 or F11 wont work?

If you have the original CDs, you can reinstall from those. If you don't, you can get replacements from Dell for a nominal charge (call them for details, but I think it's a few bucks plus shipping).

yesANS2:My iPod just was replaced. I restored from iTunes and everything but for a few pass-worded settings were restored to the same as the old one. If you mean that you are contemplating restoring it to factory settings...then, yes, it will wipe the unit. You would want to restore it to factory default if you are planning to sell it so your personal data won't be on it.

Try running a free LIVECD and see if it will work that way. If it doesn't try a network install or swapping CD/DVD drives or use and external USB CD/DVD.
