Lime will neutralize. Some pest suppliers have other products just for that purpose-earth bags for example & a product called epoleon that you can spray as a liquid. The trick is getting close enough to do the job if not accessable. Generally, once they dry out (mummify) the odor is gone. The moisture is the problem & smell source.

well this is one reason not how to get rid of skunk odor: tomato juice ( unless you want to ). you only think it works because when you smell it up close you can't smell the odor of the skunk anymore. but i think to get rid of skunk odor is to take a bath in SOAP! and LOTS of it!
First find the dead mouse and get rid of it. If it met its end on carpet use deodorizing carpet foam cleaner, if the end was met on a hard surface spray a disinfectant cleaner such a Lysol over the area. And if the rodent cannot be found there is not a lot a body can do but put a deodorizer in the room. If the rodent is located between walls, you will need someone to locate it and replace the dry wall. An enzyme spray might also help in areas you cannot replace. Another option for those that cannot find their dead rodent is to use an ozone generator to destroy the odor in the air until the mouse has decayed and no longer stinks. Ozone will actually react with the molecules in the air that are the source of the offensive odor, turning them into particles that won't bother our human noses. Such ozone generators can be rented, and in this instance will need to be run several times (or continuously at low levels) until the mouse decays. Google "ozone generator rentals" to find a company that can help you out!

Getting rid of foot odor is hard once it gets bad, but my mother used these to get rid of her foot odor: *Keep your feet clean! Cleanliness kills the bacteria that causes odor. *Keep your feet dry! Socks made of cotton are best to absorb sweat and moisture. *Stay away from garlic, onions, curries, chilis, and alcohol. These can cause foot odor, as well as bad breath.

You can try to entice them to come out and trap them. However, it all may be simpler to hire an exterminator, since if you poison them and they die inside the walls, you have a larger problem, due to the odor.
