If you have iTunes or windows music player when listening to your cd at the bottom or on the left there should be a rip or extract button. There may also bs an option that pops up as soon as you put your cd in the computer.
Via CD, put it into the disk drive and go on to music. Select the CD and then rip.

Once you have downloaded iTunes put your CD into your comnputer and it will come up with a window saying whether you want to rip your songs onto your iTunes library. Follow this process and then just drag and drop the songs onto your music on your iPod on the toolbar down the left hand side of iTunes

This file format of a CD is dependent on the program you use to rip the data off the CD. Normally it is in the Mp3 format, but if you use Windows Media Player to rip the songs off it will be converted into .Wav format. - CascadeNeko
If you have a Windows computer then you can use Windows media player. Just place the CD in the drive and click on the rip tab at the top. If you own an ipod or an Apple computer then you can use itunes to rip cd. At worst you can find a CD ripping software application online.
you need to rip the songs to a CD and then re-rip them back onto your computer to do that. Which takes up a lot of effort, and breaks the copyright laws.
