I put the who horse chestnut on the grill and cook till it opens. Then take the two (or as many as there are) out of the shell and place the nuts back on the grill cooking them till there roasted completely black. Then i put then in a small metal bowl and crush them with a rock till the texture looks like coffee. Smells GREAT! I did try to make coffee with it but after taking a sip my wife told me i was crazy so i didn't drink the rest.....I guess i will never know if it's good for me! :0(
