Perminantly in what way? Please be more specific. Usually, when you put a CD into your computer (if you are connected to the internet), iTunes will download song names from their server and then you can click "Import CD" in the lower right corner of the screen to import the songs. The default place that iTunes will save the files is in My Music/iTunes Music, but if your library is located in a diffrent place, it may be diffrent for you.

∙ 14y agoIf you insert your CD into the drive, a menu should come up which would give you several choices. If iTunes is not on there, close that and click on the iTunes icon. Next, your CD should show up in the left side of the iTunes screen. If it does not come up automatically, then you should click on the CD and click the rip button. After the songs have been ripped, you can right click on them and add them to any playlist you want.
