Best Answer

The ASL sign for "unknown" is the sign for "don't know".

DON'T-KNOW is signed with a B handshape. Make a flat palm with the fingers together and the thumb folded into the palm. Start the sign with the tips of your fingers touching your temple, and then finish the sign by moving the hand away from the head in a 'discarding' motion. Use a negative expression with the face. Signers may also mouth/say "unknown" to give lipreading cues.
