How do you search for Unanswered questions on a specific topic in WikiAnswers?

1. Type http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Special:Search into the URL. You can also get there by clicking the link that says 'Search' at the top right of the screen.
2. Select questions if it is not already selected.
3. Click the 'all' on the bottom and change it to 'unanswered'
4. Click 'all categories' and change it to whatever category you want
Alternatively, you can go to the category you wish to see all unanswered questions and click 'Unanswered questions' in the blue toolbar on the left.

Finding Unanswered QuestionsThere is no single list of the ever-growing number of questions that flow into the site. You can browse individual categories for shorter lists. There are various ways in which you can track down the unanswered questions:Scroll up to the top of a page on WikiAnswers. Also, you'll notice in the Ask/Answer area at the top of every WikiAnswers page the white space. To the right of "Enter question or phrase" you will see (in black text) the word "Browse" and, under that (in white text), the top 2 options are "Unanswered questions" and "New questions."Click on the blue Answer tab on the Ask/Answer bar above. Click either Browse unanswered quesions or Most-recent questions. Either of them will show you questions that still need answers. If you click on "Unanswered questions," you will be taken to a box where you can search for a specific category. Start typing the category you are seeking in the box, and if that specific category exists on the site, you will be taken directly to that category.If you merely want to browse the available categories, click on the small green arrows to the left of each main category. Any time you see a green arrow, this alerts you to the fact that there are more subcategories that are "collapsed" deeper down in that category.To find the unanswered questions about a given category, click on the blue link to any category and it will lead you to the category tree. Or select "Browse categories" in the blue bar on the left-hand side of the page. Once you open a category list, you should find the link to "All unanswered questions" within that category.Go to any category and click on the words "Last... [name of category] questions." Go backward from there. The last ones are least likely to be answered.Go to the Search tool (via the icon of the magnifying glass on the top right-hand side of the page). Why can't you view unanswered questions in Cars and Vehicles?
You can view unanswered questions in Cars and Vehicles. Make sure you are signed into your account. Then go on the left sidebar "Browse Categories" and search for that category. In the top left will be an option to filter "Answered" or "Unanswered" questions.
Have any unanswered questions US Army related?
Yes, WikiAnswers does have unanswered US Army-related questions. You can find them by clicking on the US Army Categories above. That will take you to the category opening page, which lists answered questions. At the upper right of the page, above the category image, click on "Unanswered". That will take you to the start of the Unanswered questions that were put in that category. Another way to find them is to go to "Search Questions" under "Site Tools" on the left of your screen. Select "Unanswered" and type in "US Army". Right now that returns about 1500 questions. Then do the same search with "U.S. Army" (around 150 Qs) and "United States Army" (around 35 Qs). You have a lot to choose from to answer.

you can check your "answer questions" link in the upper right where you name appears, there will be questions from all the categories you chose to follow, also you can go to the browse categories link on the left hand side in the blue menu and choose a category to look in, on the following page you can choose unanswered questions, or, you can use the search questions link to search unanswered questions by keyword.
How do you set your search results so WikiAnswers shows both answered and unanswered questions instead of just answered questions when you ask a two-worded question?
Choose the answer bar, which is close to the top of the page.Type the search query into the answer bar. Click Go.On the left side of the screen under 'Search results' click 'Unanswered'In the menu that pops up, select 'All'You are done. Now you will get both answered and unanswered results.

However, you can search for questions that you asked and look to see if there is a preview for an answer. if there is, it was answered.
