place your cam at BDC and your crank at TDC make sure your #1 piston is up all the way on the down stroke
timing belt probably
Generally, no.
A timing belt failure normally trashes the engine.
if the timing belt broke while you where driving you need a new motor it smashed the valves and blew the motor
How about a broken timing belt. If this car has a lot of miles on it, it is possible that your timing belt broke. It also could be a clogged fuel line. Your timing belt broke. My 95 broke twice on me while driving. Change it religously every 40,000 miles to prevent it from breaking on you. It will take you a couple of hours to do yourself the first time, but only about $20 for the belt.
this year model should have no interferance problems a properly installed belt should repair the problem
My timing belt broke while driving on the freeway. Nothing was damaged. I think that I was lucky though.....
Timing belt broke or slipped some teeth. If not: Check fuel pressure
It's possible. There are only 2 ways to find out: 1. disassemble the engine and inspect for damage. 2. Put a new timing belt on and see if you have good compression across all cylinders. If you do, you probably didn't cause damage when the timing belt broke. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put on the timing belt. The car will run fine or really poorly. It will be obvious if you have any bent or stuck valves. Y-THINK-Y
if the sound of the engine cranking sounds unusual, your timing belt has snapped.
One posibility to check would be the timing belt. If it broke while driving your car will stall and will not start again. If it was the timing belt you may have a more costly repair bill then just the belt.
Happened to me in a Ford, I guess it could be many things but mine stoped because the Timing Chain broke
