If you are going to hook it up to a home stereo you might check with someone at a sereo installation store to see if it will damage the stereo or the amp but in order for the amp to work you would need to purchase a power converter to reduce the power from 110 ac to 12v dc I don't believe it will hurt the stereo or amp but to be safe checking beats guessing! I am not much of a stereo buff all I really know about is engines transmissions and basic electonics such as lights on cars sorry I can't help you very much! Good luck!
a sound storm ssl f1200m good with a pioneer ts w308d4?
You have to run the powers and grounds for the amp, do not forget to set up the remote wire either. then you will need to connect the amp to the CD player auxillary with the RCA's, then you just wire your sub to the amp.-Shocker
A system usually refers to the audio set up of the vehicle. A basic system usually consists of an amp and a sub woofer.
something is wired up wrong or you overloaded the amp
Technically, yes. Any speaker can be hooked up to a car amp. Be careful though, car speakers aren't rated for that kind of power normally.
a car, a garden hose, a bucket, car soap, a sponge and a nice sunny day.
Yes you can hook up a car subwoofer to a dj amp. Some dj amps have a barewire hook up on them so you can hook it up using the same wires as you would with your car amp. If not then you would have to either convert your hook up on the speaker box to the style in which your amp takes, or splice new ends onto your existing wires to hook up to the amp. The one thing to watch out for is your rms and peak power. Dj amps tend to be a bit more powerful then car amps and you can cause damage to your speaker and or amp by forcing to much power, or by giving to little power. I suggest trying it out at home for a good amount of time on a med. power level to see if the amp and speaker can hold to a couple hours of non stop use before I would take it to a gig with me.
You first take the amp Then you take the subs. Then. Voila.
because when you drive theair is pushing on your car and goes inside the car and goes warm and heats up as you go
Depending on your sub an amp set your amp freq low i would suggest under 50hz and then turn your system up and position your sub box in different areas of the boot until your happy with the sound quality
Depends on the sub. I wouldn't recommend this because of the impedance of your car stereo (depedig on your amp and set up) is normally 4 ohm and almost all house systems run at 8 ohm. Now what this means to you is that if you hook up your sub to your home stereo, you've just cut the resistance of the electricity in half, so you will get a lot more power out of your home amp, but with that comes the fact that with the increased power comes increased heat and you will either throw your home amp into thermal protect or just fry it completely. Plus some amps won't even work if the impedance is wrong. So I guess the short answer is, you can, but don't. Hope this helps.
