The simplest way to sharpen any mower's blades is to take the blades off, place the blade in a vice, and use a electric hand grinder to sharpen them. Run the grinder's blade along the mower blade at an 45 degree angle to take any imperfections out of the cutting part of the blade. Good luck! If you can't get it right, take it to a local machine shop and they may be able to help you out.
Raise mower deck with lift lever to highest position. Put blocks under each side of deck for safety. Hold blade with gloves and remove center cap screw by turning it counterclockwise. Remove washer and blade. Repeat for each blade.
To install, reverse above procedures, use gloves or rag to hold blade. Tighten center cap screw to 55 lb-ft.
the blade is attached to the mower with one bolt, or possibly two additional bolts with nuts, to a bracket on the bottom of the engine drive shaft under the mower deck. turn the mower on its side towards the carberator (so gas won't drip into cylinder), use gloves and remove bolts. be sure to install the blade with the cutting edge to the counter-clockwise side, looking from the bottom.
According to one manual, it doesn't seem that hard. Basically, to remove the blade:
To put a blade back on (you either sharpened/balanced the old one or are replacing it):

I hope you mean an LX 280. Best done with an air ratchet and either a 5/8" or 16mm socket. You must first remove the primary deck belt and unplug the electrical connector up in the frame on the right. Remove the bolt in the center of the clutch. If it does not fall down then a couple of taps with a hammer may help. If it is rusted in place then a trip to an automotive store to get a lubricant such as NutBuster, a few minutes to soak and then a couple of taps will probably do the job.

Turn your blades off.
Remove the deck from the tractor, then remove both blades. They can be sharpened using a grinder. If you don't have a grinder, then there are shops out there that can sharpen them for you (try asking at a shop that sharpens chainsaw chains).
