There are two switches on the stick. You put the splitter in normal and the range selector in lo. You then select 1st gear and rev up to 1500 RPM or so before each shift. You change to 2nd, and then third, then forth. To go to fifth you move the range selector (usually a black lever on the front of the stick) to Hi, then put the stick in the 1st position. To go to sixth you put the rear end splitter forward to the "over" position. For 7th you place the Splitter in "direct" and at the same time and with one smooth motion you place the gear shift in the next gear and split it the same as you did the last gear. Then do the same for the next position on the stick and do the same for all the other gears.
No such thing. Are you asking about a Super Ten transmission, or a 13 speed transmission?
No you cannot change a 13 to a 18 speed, however you can change a 18 speed to a 13 speed just by changing the shift knob.
Keep rpm between 1400 to 1600
shift it foward
It's a nine speed transmission, so see the related link for a diagram. The diagram is actually of a 13 speed transmission - the difference with the nine speed is that it doesn't have the High/Low settings for the top side. The nine speed "H" pattern is the same basic pattern used for the 8LL, 13, and 18 speed transmissions.
The speed sensor sends a signal to the speedometer to show the correct speed and it sends a signal to the transmission telling when to shift. If the speed sensor is bad the speedometer will not work and the transmission will not shift correctly.
Allison doesn't make an 18 speed transmission.
I want to see the shift patterns
No you can not, it is a different transmission. The 18 speed has a splitter for the lower range as well as high range.
yes
how do you put gear shift back into 1993 ford f-150 5 speed transmission
It shifts itself.
