Season the pork butt to your taste (just salt and pepper works well, maybe some garlic powder). Wrap is well in foil and put it in a low oven (250F). Let it cook 6 to 8 hours. Remove the foil and turn up the oven to 400F and brown the roast.

If you want to use a slow cooker, put the seasoned roast in the slow cooker with 2 cups of chicken or beef broth. Cook on low or medium for 6 to 8 hours.

Ingredients1/4 + 1/8 cup honey

3 tbsp soy sauce

6 cloves garlic, minced

6 pork loin chops, boneless, trimmed of excess fat, 4 oz each

DirectionsIn a shallow dish, whisk together honey, soy sauce and garlic.

Coat chops in mixture.

Reserve left over honey mixture for basting.

Place chops on greased grill over med high heat, close lid and cook. basting 2 times.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 6 pork chops, 1-inch thick
  • salt
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon (or more) hot sauce (Tabasco, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation:Sprinkle pork chops with a little salt. Grill pork chops over medium coals for 35 minutes, turning once. Meanwhile, make barbecue sauce. In small saucepan, combine tomato sauce, water, onion, ketchup, hot sauce, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Brush pork chops with sauce; grill 5 minutes. Turn, brush the other side, and gill 5 minutes longer. Pass remaining sauce with pork chops. Makes 6 servings.

GRILLED BONELESS PORK CHOPS2 lbs. boneless pork chops

1/4 c. soy sauce

2 tbsp. chili sauce

2 tbsp. honey

1 tbsp. salad oil

1 tbsp. green onion

1 tsp. curry powder

Combine all ingredients except meat in a medium bowl. Add meat to marinade; stir. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or more, stirring occasionally. Grill about 20 minutes over medium coals, basting meat frequently with reserved marinade.

GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH APPLESAUCE6 boneless pork chops

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 (16 oz.) jar applesauce

1 tbsp. cinnamon

In a frying pan brown pork chops on both sides in olive oil. Drain oil. Cover bottom of pan with 1/2 of the applesauce. Put chops on applesauce and put remainder of applesauce on chops. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with cinnamon.

ROCKIN DOUBLE BERRY GRILLED CHOPS2 12 oz boneless pork chops

salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp. olive oil

1 jalapeno seeded and finely diced

2 tbsp. finely diced red onion

2 cloves garlic minced

1/2 tbsp. chili powder

3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

3 tbsp. seedless raspberry preserves

1/4 cup dried cranberries

Season pork chops with salt and pepper and set aside in a baking dish. Add oil to a small sauce pan over low-med heat. Add jalapeno, onion and garlic, sprinkle with chili powder and sauté. Add preserves, cranberries, vinegar and raspberries. Cook for one to two minutes.

Top chops with sauce and marinate for one to two hours to allow flavors to penetrate chops.

Grill chops for 6-7 minutes on each side checking for internal temperature of 155°F. Pull pork off the grill and cover with foil, allow chops to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

GRILLED PORK CHOPS4 (1 1/2 inch thick) boneless pork loin chops

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 tbsp. crushed coriander seeds

1 tbsp. cracked black pepper

1 tbsp. brown sugar

3 tbsp. soy sauce

Combine all ingredients, except pork chops. Marinate pork in mixture 30 minutes. Grill over hot coals for 12-15 minutes, turning once.

GRILLED BROWN - SUGAR PORK CHOPS1/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 c. apple juice

2 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 tbsp. soy sauce

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Salt and freshly ground

Black pepper to taste

1 tsp. cornstarch

6 boneless loin pork chops

Start fire in grill, placing rack about 6 inches above coals.

Prepare sauce: When coals are almost ready (medium hot), in 2 quart saucepan, combine brown sugar, apple juice, oil, soy sauce, ginger, salt, and pepper. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. In small bowl, stir 1/4 cup water into cornstarch to dissolve. Add to mixture. Return to boil, stirring. When mixture is slightly thickened, remove from heat. Prepare pork. Grill pork chops over hot coals 10 to 12 minutes, turning once. Brushing with sauce, grill 5 minutes longer until pork is well glazed and cooked through, turning once more and brushing with sauce.

GRILLED PORK AND ONIONS,

CARIBBEAN-STYLE1/3 c. freshly squeezed lime juice

1/4 c. oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. ground coriander

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

2 sm. onions

4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick

Combine lime juice, oil, garlic, salt, coriander and cayenne pepper in small bowl. Set aside.

Peel onions and slice 1/2 inch thick. Arrange onions in large shallow baking dish and place pork chops over onions. Pour lime mixture over all.

Cover and marinate 30 minutes at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator. Remove chops and onions from marinade and grill over medium hot coals about 15 minutes, brushing with some of the marinade. Serves 4.

BEER - GRILLED CHOPS4 boneless pork loin chops, trimmed, about 1 lb.

MARINADE:

1/4 c. soy sauce

1 c. beer, at room temperature

2 tbsp. brown sugar

2 tsp. grated fresh gingerroot

Combine marinade ingredients together well; place chops in plastic bag and pour marinade over, seal bag and refrigerate 4-24 hours. Prepare medium-hot coals in grill. Remove chops from marinade; grill over medium-hot coals 7-8 minutes per side, turning once. You may use chops with bone also. Serves 4.
