The current official prescription is to use "mèl", which has a different writing but sounds the same as mail. Most French use the words mail, e-mail, email instead of that new word. Another wording is "courrier électronique", which being too long and formal, has not a widespread use. You find it mainly in administrative litterature.
for a friend: "amitiés"
for business: "respectueusement" if the sendee is somebody very important, "amicalement" if you want to sound friendly, "cordialement" when you want to convey a sense of business friendship.
