you need a lot of heat to split sodium chloride, as the bond between them is very strong. im not sure at which temperature they split

How many moles of chlorine gas are produced when 40.0g of salt is split by electrolysis?

When salt (NaCl) is split by electrolysis, one mole of sodium (Na) and one mole of chlorine (Cl2) gas are produced. The molar mass of NaCl is 58.44 g/mol, so 40.0 g of NaCl is approximately 0.68 moles. Therefore, 0.68 moles of chlorine gas are produced.

How many grams are in 0.48 moles if NaCl?

1 mole NaCl = 58.44g NaCl0.48mol NaCl x 58.44g NaCl/1mol NaCl = 28g NaCl

How mny moles are in 23.34 of NaCl?

I'm going to assume that you mean 23.34g of NaCl. 1 mole NaCl = 58.442g NaCl (the atomic weight of Na and Cl in grams) 23.34g NaCl x (1mol NaCl/58.442g NaCl) = 0.3994mol NaCl

How many formula units in 3.6 grams of NaCl?

1 mole NaCl = 58.443g NaCl = 6.022 x 1023 formula units NaCl 3.6g NaCl x 1mol NaCl/58.443g NaCl x 6.022 x 1023 formula units NaCl/mol NaCl = 3.7 x 1022 formula units NaCl

What is example of a compound created by an ionic bond?

NaCl

What does NaCl do during protein extraction?

In solution, NaCl can split into Na+ and Cl- ions. These ions are indeed needed to stabilise the hydrophilic residues of the protein molecule that are exposed on the surface. So NaCl is a stabilising agent in various protocols even in the extraction, but it does not has any role in lysing the cells or neutralising other biomolecules.

What is the concentration of NaCl in a solution that contains 0.9 NaCl?

The concentration of NaCl in a solution that contains 0.9 NaCl is 0.9 grams of NaCl per 100 grams of solution.

What is a chemical property of sodium?

- NaCl is a salt- NaCl is an ionic compound- NaCl is dissociated in water- Nacl is chemically stable

Chemical equation for sodium chloride?

The formula unit of sodium chloride is NaCl.

What property of salt makes it desolve in water?

NaCl or Salt is an ionic compound made up of atoms. One of the properties of an ionic compound is that it can dissolve in water and split into separate ions.

Who boiling first water with NaCl or whithout NaCl?

Water without NaCl.

How many moles are present in 234g of NaCl?

To find the number of moles in 234g of NaCl, divide the given mass by the molar mass of NaCl. The molar mass of NaCl is 58.44 g/mol (sodium = 22.99 g/mol, chlorine = 35.45 g/mol). So, 234g ÷ 58.44 g/mol = 4 moles of NaCl.
